Rictor grinned and nodded. At least the guy seemed to be okay with getting jumped by a random dog out for a walk. “Seriously, sorry about her. She really likes people.” 

He held a hand out with a small smile. “Rictor. Nice to meet you.”

“No, it’s fine. I really like dogs.” He replied in the same matter Rictor had spoken in. And it was something Earthly. So that was a bonus, not like some space alien pet, not that he didn’t like some of them, but he’d had enough of space for now.

Richard took his hand and shook it, “I’m Richard and likewise. You live around here?”
