Richard’s suit warned him of the meteors that were in his flight path. He swerved to dodge them, not waiting to blast them in case it caused a galactic incident, or in case small debris veered off course and led to a major disaster.
[Detected: Black Nova, Sam Alexander, Orgin: Earth]
Well, that was something. Finally after days, who would have thought they would just bump into each other flying in space. It seemed like his predictions were correct after all. Opening a comm link to the Black Nova, he’d cleared throat and hailed Sam, “Hello, is this Sam Alexander?” Richard asked as he slowed down and flew to where his suit had tracked the Black Nova.
[Hello, is this Sam Alexander?]
The voice echoed in his helmet. It sounded very similar to how Worldmind communicated with him. But who could be asking him what his name was?
“—hello?”
Sam stood up, looking around the area. It was even more strange that someone would be asking his name when he was, supposedly, by himself in the middle of nowhere. His hands glowed an electric blue, ready to defend himself if there was an enemy in the distance.
Eyes squinted as he could faintly make out an object in the distance. It was definitely a humanoid. Who it was, however, he didn’t know.
"Uh, hi there. You’re Sam right?” Richard asked as he got closer, it sounded like the right age, from what Peter told him anyway. Of course there was that whole TRAP thing that was screaming in his head. It certainly wouldn’t be it first time.
Richard was on the guard, energy blasts at the ready, in case he had to fight his way out of this one. He didn’t want a repeat of the whole Skrull deal, and even though it was as unlikely for a Skrull to be so far out in deep space, it was just as unlikely for him to have been alive, so that was something.
“I’m Richard. You may have heard of me? I think, hopefully…” He wasn’t too sure… After all, did Worldmind even have contact with this Black Nova anyway. He hoped so, Worldmind would have at least mentioned his name to the new Nova.
