“I’m pretty free right now, but I figured that you’re rather busy.” Richard hoped that didn’t sound too presumptuous, but she was the Director after all.
“I’m always busy, it comes with the title.” Maria brushed the comment off, every time she completed one thing there were six more things to do.
“Maybe you could direct me to someone else? I don’t want to hinder your work.” Richard really didn’t want to cause some sort of mishap if he took up any more of her time.
